 The company was founded in May 1972 by the present M.D. Peter Bennett and like many companies started off as a “one man band,” but has now grown over the last 35 years to employ 43 Staff.
In the early days the work was mainly setting-out for motorways, tunnels and general residential / industrial developments. By modern day standards the technology of this era was very basic but presented quite a challenge to ensure accuracy especially on construction sites.
We’re proud to say that we still have the first two theodolites brought in 1972 – but only in our display cabinet !!
 During the 1980s the company’s activities moved away from setting out to providing topographical / building surveys for developers on any site from a single plot to 1000 acres, at any location within the UK.
In 1999 David Rust and Stuart Dimond were promoted to Partners and with their proactive involvement and enthusiasm the company has leapt forward.
  We have been an active member of our trade body 'The Survey Association' since 1980 and also send junior staff to their recognised surveying course in Worcester.
A major change came in June 2003 when the company status changed from Partnership to Limited.
  
We have always invested heavily in the latest technology including the HDS 3000 laser scanner, GPS systems, the latest software packages etc that you would expect from a first class company.
Milton Keynes Surveys are regarded as one of the most innovative, professional and respected geomatics companies in the UK.
