MK Surveys project features on Episode 5 of the BBC2 program ‘Restoration Home’.
Calverton Manor is a collage of different architectural styles with parts thought to date back as far as the 14th century. And it comes with its very own legend involving a rich widow, the local butcher, pots of gold and murder.
MK Surveys provided the owners David and Jeannette Lock with the detailed measured building survey, floor plans, elevations and cross sections that informed their restoration and provided a base on which to record the past as their renovation unearthed the buildings secret past.

MK Surveys provided the full survey solution for this grade 2 listed railway

MK Surveys have been appointed by Thanet District Council to provide a 3D AutoCAD model of the Grade II listed Scenic Railway at Dreamland Amusement Park in Margate, Kent.
The ride was built at the park in 1919/1920 and opened in March 1920. The ride is now almost unique, as a brakeman is still required to travel with the train to control its speed, as there are no brakes on the track. It is the oldest roller coaster in the UK and one of only eight scenic railways in the world. It is also the only roller coaster to receive listed status; being Grade II listed in 2002. It currently stands without operating due to a fire which destroyed approximately
25% of the ride in April 2008.
MK Surveys have been appointed alongside Gardiner & Theobald (Project Managers) and Campbell Reith (Consulting Engineers) who will be overseeing the restoration of the ride. -

We are very pleased to announce a significant increase in our Utility Survey Capacity. This service has been developed and run by Gordon Livie our Utility Survey Manager over the last 4 years, with Gordon carrying out the majority of these surveys himself.
From 1st September Gordon will be joined by 2 further surveyors Jake Ripley Duggan and Michael Rowe. Jake has joined MK Surveys from a Specialist Utility Survey Company and has 5 years Utility Survey experience, whilst Michael Rowe has been promoted to Junior Surveyor after spending the last two years training alongside Gordon.
We hope that this investment in personnel will significantly reduce our turnaround time in the future, whilst maintaining the high standard of survey you would expect from MK Surveys.
